Mr. Calvert earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Relations from the James Madison College at Michigan State University in 2002. He received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2006. While in law school Mr. Calvert received the Chicago-Kent Achievement Scholarship and worked as teaching assistant. He is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan, the State of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Calvert began his career practicing law at Dickinson Wright PLLC in Detroit, Michigan. He is experienced in representing lenders in secured and unsecured lending including various single-bank credit facilities, multibank syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loans, and other secured lending transactions. Mr. Calvert is also experienced in real property development, loan workouts and asset purchase and stock purchase acquisitions.
Mr. Calvert currently practices in the areas of municipal finance and real estate finance and development. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association.
